Over The Rainbow - 2ADH20
The Short: Part two of the four part Angel finale. Cordelia arrives on Pylea, the home dimension of the host of Caritas, only to be captured and sold into slavery on a world where humans are treated like cattle. Welsey, Angel, the host and Gunn are unable to follow her immediately, so they do research and prepare. Gunn and the host both refuse to go after Cordelia for their own reasons at first, but eventually join up on the mission. Once they are sure they can safely follow Cordelia they pack up the car, create a portal, and drive through. Angel is pleasantly surprised to learn that the suns of Pylea don't burn vampires. They hide the car and make way to a small town, where they learn the host is not very popular with the locals and all four are arrested, meanwhile Cordelia has a vision and the locals seemed spooked by it, forcing her to take tests to determine if she has a curse. The four are kept in a cell where they await judgement. As they are taken to head of
the government to be sentenced they
plan to go out fighting together, but the moment they start they notice a friend sitting on the thrown, it's Cordelia dressed as a queen!
Seekul, the hell beast that chases Cordelia, appears very similar to the hell hounds that were seen in The Prom. These creatures are employed as hunting dogs by the demons of Pylea.
The dimension of Pylea is inhabited by humans, who are a slave race, as well at least three separate races of demons. The first is a species with green scaly skin, red eyes and two small horns in their head. The second appears to have bumpy pink skin and red eyes, males are hairless. The third has red skin and black eyes. The host implies his race is unable to get drunk.
One new thing about vampires that we learn is that they seem to only be burned by sunlight from Earth's star, Sol. Angel has no trouble walking around in the sunlight on this world.
Aggie, a new character, seems to be a legitimate human psychic. She can see people's auras, read their futures, and sense psychic hot spots. No reason is given as to why she has those powers. She could have been born with them like Drusilla the seer or had them as of the result of childhood trauma like Bethany the telekinetic.
