The Short:From the WB11 home page: Just as Doyle is inches away from finally making a connection with Cordy, his estranged wife shows up at Angel Investigations begging for a divorce so she can marry the new love of her life. After the initial shock of it all, Doyle agrees to consent to the divorce. Meanwhile, Angel discovers that the fiance comes from a long line of pacifist demons, but this doesn't seem to rock anyone's boat. After Doyle consents to the divorce, the fiance invites Doyle to join his bachelor party. Unbeknownst to Doyle, the fiance's family has a ritual to fulfill: the fiance needs to eat Doyle's brain in order to have a successful marriage. As the party proceedings begin, Angel gets suspicious and wanders upstairs. There he discovers these demons may not be as pacifist as they seem. He is ejected from the restaurant by the family. Downstairs, Doyle is about to be eaten with a shrimp-fork, but Angel and Cordy and the
fiance arrive on the scene and come to the rescue.
The Long: We open in Angel's office as Angel reads a book and Doyle tries to talk him into going out to a sports bar. Cordelia is all dressed up and has a date with Pierce, a rich boyfriend (see Reference #1). Although Cordelia tries to slip out when Pierce arrives, Angel and Doyle introduce themselves to him and ask where they are going (see Reference #2). After Cordelia leaves Doyle looks through Angel's book and finds a picture of a hottie, who he asks about, then realizes it's Buffy. Doyle has a vision of a man being eaten in a vampire nest, so Angel and Doyle go to save him. (Listen to the teaser here.)
Richard Howard Straley and his family are Anomovic demons. Including Richard
there were 11 male and 5 female demons. They seem to be very human with the
ability to change into a demon form with red scaly skin and vestigial horns.
They are long lived and it is implied their knees bend in both directions.
Harry (presumable Harriet Doyle, at least before the divorce) is an
ethno-demonologist, who scouts clans of demons and records their culture. A
normal human woman, Harry is one of the people who is aware
of the demon world.
We learn that half breed demons only sometimes carry on the ''demon
genes''. Doyle's mother didn't tell him about his father being a
demon until his demon self manifested at the age of 21.
Uncle John: ''Let's see. First we greet the man of the hour. Then
we drink. Then we bring out the food. Then we drink. Then comes the stripper,
darts, then we have the ritual eating of the first husband's brains, and
then charades.'' Ben: ''Wait! What was that? Charades?''
Demons do know how to have a good time. Listen to the quote here.
Angel: ''Out to dinner?'' Pierce: ''Le Petite Renard.''
Le Petite Renard translates from French to English as ''the little fox'', but it doesn't seem to be a real restaurant in Los Angeles.

Cordelia: ''Here I am at Le Petite Renard with Mr. Armani, who
could keep me in blue boxes for the rest of my life...'' Angel: ''Blue boxes?'' Cordelia: ''Tiffany's!''
Giorgio Armani was born on July 11, 1934, in Piacenza, Italy, and was the
son of a shipping manager. Rising from humble origins, he intended to become
a doctor but left medical school and worked as a buyer, beginning in 1957,
for the Milan department store La Rinascente. In 1964, after a seven-year
stint in that position, Armani pursued a career in fashion design, training
in the atelier of Nino Cerruti. About 10 years later, with the help of his
friend and business partner Sergio Galeotti, Armani launched his own label
of ready-to-wear for men and women. Each year he added new offerings to his
company, introducing perfume, accessories, a jeans line, the lower-priced
diffusion line Emporio Armani, and sportswear.

Harry: ''Around. Uhm, Kiribati, Togo, Uzbekistan, a few spots
that were a little less touristy.''
The Republic of Kiribati is composed of three island groups in the central
Pacific Ocean. The island groups, from west to east, are the Gilbert,
Phoenix, and Line islands.
The Republic of Togo is in western Africa is a narrow strip of land
stretching about 320 miles northward from a coastline of about 32 miles on
the Gulf of Guinea of the Atlantic Ocean.
The Republic of Uzbekistan is in Central Asia and gained independence from
the Soviet Union in 1991.
Cordelia: ''So, it was a green card thing.''
A Green Card is an official document issued by the U.S. government to aliens, allowing them to work legally in the Unites States. Marriage to a U.S. citizen is a fast way to a green card, because the applicant becomes an immediate relative.

Harry: ''I know it's wild, huh? I'm definitely the ying to his yang, but it works! He's got a good heart, Francis, just like you.''
Yiny and yang is...
Angel: ''It's Angel. Where are you?'' Cordelia: ''In the nether world know as the 818 area code. Why?''
The 818 area code covers the area of the San Fernando Valley, which
is considered the boonies to the people of the west side of Los Angeles.
